One starts to realize how ones life quickly changes when someone else enters their life. I felt much of the same but with less intensity. The reason for that is, even though I have met my wife just a month back, the instant bonding and gelling was such that we were more long lost best friends re-united together than husband and wife.

A new day starts with bright sunshine and much happiness and fanfare. The newly wedded wife was out on a mission to impress her in-laws which to be honest she had done impressively well in the beginning days and still continuing to do so, with much command and authority now. As I have said many times before, marriage is not only about two individuals but the coming together of two entire families. The reception was the gathering of my entire circle, made up of many smaller circles which included my friends from primary school days in Feni, to my friends from University, from medical college in Russia to my colleagues at Maasranga Television and Scholastica school. This was the occasion where, all the invitees from my side were attending who were not invited to the wedding, since the wedding is the ceremony arranged by the brides side. Warm wishes and felicitations were flowing in throughout the day and at the reception ceremony as well. People from all walks of life who are close to me and my family attended the ceremony and blessed us. All in all it was ushering in a new era of togetherness. After the ceremony as is the tradition, I had to accompany my wife to my in-laws house.

The atmosphere in their house was electrifying to say the least. My uncle in-laws were singing and everyone trying to participate in the celebrations. After the rituals were over, it was time to get some rest, until the next morning that is, when as a new member of the family I had certain responsibilities to fulfill beginning with shopping for lunch.
